Kristen joined the Foundation's Secure World Program as a Program Officer in July 1998. The Foundation first became acquainted with Kristen when she worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council on a series of environmental and nuclear-weapon related projects, including helping to establish environmental NGOs in the former Soviet Union. Kristen most recently served as an advisor on Russian affairs to Secretaries of Energy Peña and O'Leary. Kristen also worked as a staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives. She has a degree in Russian from Middlebury College and has done graduate work at the School of Advanced International Studies in Washington. Kristen is now the Deputy Director for Administration & Secure World Program Officer
Kristen grew up in Massachusetts. She enjoys running, cross-country skiing, yoga, and photography.
