Frame Navigation Tips

The W. Alton Jones Foundation's Web site is designed with "frames." Frames allow Web browsers, like the current versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer, to split the screen into independent viewing panes. We have used our frame layout to add useful navigation tools and guides to information.

Moving backwards in a frame

On a Web site using frames, the traditional click on your browser's "Back" button may take you back further than you expected. If you have been viewing different pages of information in one frame, you may just want to move back to the previous page, not the previous site you visitied.
